Learning Experience Designer (LXD)

About the role

Capitec Bank is building a Learning Design Studio that creates digital‑first, AI‑enabled learning experiences. As a Learning Experience Designer you will shape end‑to‑end learning journeys that inspire behaviour change and improve performance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver end‑to‑end learning journeys using instructional design and learning experience methodologies.
• Conduct learning needs analyses and performance diagnostics to inform solution design.
• Develop digital, blended, facilitated and micro‑learning solutions, leveraging multimedia and emerging AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts, stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to ensure relevance and impact.
• Measure learning effectiveness through data analytics, learner feedback and continuous improvement cycles.
• Apply human‑centred design, UX, behavioural science and adult‑learning principles to create engaging content.
• Manage multiple learning projects, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in learning experience or instructional design, with proven delivery of both in‑person and digital/blended solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in User Experience, User Design or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, ownership mindset and ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Client‑first attitude with excellent stakeholder communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Portfolio that demonstrates real learning design work, visual communication and business impact.

Required skills

• Familiarity with instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM or Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems and learning analytics.
• Proficiency in authoring tools like Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite and Camtasia.
