Lead Python Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Python Backend Engineer to drive the design, development and maintenance of server‑less applications for OM Bank. Reporting to the Product Owner and Chapter Leader, you will translate business requirements into robust, scalable solutions using modern cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end development of backend services on a serverless architecture.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to gather requirements and create technical specifications.
• Build proof‑of‑concepts, demonstrate solutions and ensure zero‑downtime operations.
• Write clean, testable Python code and automate repetitive tasks.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure as code and monitor system performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices across the team.
• Document work in Confluence and track progress using JIRA.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a backend developer, preferably in a lead or senior role.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to work in an agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills and proactive attitude.
