Labour Law Litigator

About the role

Labournet is seeking a Labour Law Litigator to join its Durban branch. You will manage client matters across all phases of labour litigation, providing expert legal advice and representation while supporting the company’s mission to simplify compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to client matters and manage all phases of litigation from investigation through arbitration.
• Provide labour‑related legal advice and discuss complex disputes with clients.
• Analyse risk, research recent case law and assist clients in dispute preparation.
• Draft correspondence to clients, CCMA, unions and other representatives.
• Gather and analyse evidence, prepare witness testimonies and represent clients at conciliation, arbitration and pre‑arbitration proceedings.
• Update case files on the CMS and ensure matter files meet required standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Law, HR or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in labour law.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of Labour Appeal Processes (LAPs).
• Customer‑first mindset with excellent written and verbal communication.
