Key Account Manager – Corporate Fleet & EV Sales

About the role

The Key Account Manager will own the full commercial relationship with top corporate, rental and leasing fleet customers across South Africa. You will drive growth, profitability and the transition to electric vehicles while managing the end‑to‑end sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop annual and three‑year strategic growth plans for each key account, set monthly/quarterly KPIs for volume, margin, repeat orders and EV penetration, and take full P&L responsibility.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with client procurement, finance and mobility leaders to discuss fleet replacement cycles, delivery performance and budget forecasts.
• Maintain a real‑time opportunity pipeline in the CRM, provide accurate monthly sales forecasts and flag tender, supply‑shortage or churn risks.
• Drive upsell and cross‑sell of EV models, extended service plans, fleet maintenance bundles, vehicle subscriptions and in‑house finance packages.
• Act as the single point of contact for tier‑one corporate, rental and leasing clients, building relationships from fleet managers up to CFOs and CEOs.
• Lead RFQ/RFP tender processes, coordinate product, finance and legal inputs, and negotiate multi‑year master supply agreements, pricing tiers and service terms.
• Collaborate with regional sales managers and dealer principals to align national fleet activities and avoid channel conflict.
• Provide customised total‑cost‑of‑ownership analyses for ICE and EV passenger vehicles to support client cost‑optimisation and green‑mobility goals.
