Junior Sales Assistant

About the role

Kick‑start your sales career with a fast‑growing UK fintech that helps SMEs receive payments faster and more simply. You will work directly with the Founder and the Head of Sales, gaining hands‑on experience in outbound sales, lead qualification and the payments industry.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify inbound and outbound leads via phone, email and LinkedIn.
• Make approximately 100 cold‑call attempts per day to generate new opportunities.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and keep the sales pipeline up‑to‑date.
• Assist in preparing proposals, quotations and follow‑up communications.
• Research prospective customers and market segments to uncover new business.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding for new clients.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
• Attend industry events and networking sessions when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a sales role with exposure to the full sales cycle.
• Comfortable making high‑volume outbound calls.
• Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a neutral accent.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and reliable.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and coachable.
