Junior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Labyrinth & Co (Pty) Ltd is looking for a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to support its construction and project management team. The role offers exposure to upmarket residential projects and the chance to develop cost planning and contract administration skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities and cost estimates.
• Measure and quantify construction works.
• Develop tender documentation and evaluate tenders.
• Prepare payment certificates, valuations and final accounts.
• Produce cost reports and maintain financial control of projects.
• Assist with contract administration and site progress inspections.
• Prepare variation orders and support project financial reporting.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 2 years of practical quantity surveying experience in construction.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in RIB CCS (Candy) software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
