About the role
We are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Cape Town. The role involves supporting the estimation and contract management processes, ensuring accurate measurement and pricing of building projects. This is an entry‑level position ideal for candidates looking to start a career in construction cost management.
Key responsibilities
- Measure plans and buildings accurately to develop pricing.
- Prepare pricing calculations, including building up rates.
- Submit quotes and tenders in a timely manner.
- Facilitate and expedite production processes.
- Troubleshoot crises and problems as they arise.
- Identify issues and propose cost‑effective solutions.
- Support contracts managers with planning and resource organization.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
- Promote the sale of company services.
- Project‑manage contracts from inception to completion.
