Junior Project Planner

About the role

Marvel Placement Consultants is seeking a Junior Project Planner to support the planning and coordination of engineering, construction and EPCM projects. You will assist the project team in developing, monitoring and maintaining schedules to keep projects on track and ensure key deliverables are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Update programmes, monitor progress and report on schedule performance.
• Identify delays, schedule deviations and potential risks.
• Support critical‑path analysis and schedule recovery planning.
• Collect progress data from site teams and update milestones, deliverables and resource plans.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and maintain planning documentation.
• Participate in planning meetings and liaise with engineers, project managers and site personnel.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in planning, project coordination or administration, preferably in engineering, construction, mining or EPCM.
• Relevant qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical field is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, organisational and administrative abilities with high attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
