Junior Production Manager

About the role

Our client, a proudly South African manufacturer of innovative sanitation and infrastructure solutions, is looking for a results‑driven Junior Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations. This role offers the chance to work in a fast‑paced environment focused on quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all daily production operations, meeting daily and monthly targets.
• Manage Production Supervisors, Team Leaders and factory personnel.
• Monitor productivity, efficiency, downtime and quality performance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Coordinate production activities with Procurement, Stores, Logistics and Quality departments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, housekeeping and PPE compliance.
• Develop, mentor and motivate production teams.
• Compile and present production reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Production Management or Manufacturing Management qualification (NQF Level 5 or higher).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing production management role.
• Proven leadership and people‑management experience.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Computer literate.
