Junior Merchandise Planner – Cape Town

About the role

The company is looking for a highly analytical and motivated Junior Planner with 2–3 years’ experience to support stock planning, forecasting and trading performance in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage stock to achieve turnover and profitability targets.
• Analyse sales trends, stock performance and future demand.
• Prepare stock and sales budgets, forecasts and projections.
• Monitor stock holding and ageing within agreed parameters.
• Coordinate local production and imported orders to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Implement tracking reports and analytical tools to support decision‑making.
• Recommend corrective actions based on market and trading changes.

Required profile

• Degree in B.Com (Logistics), Business Science or a related field.
• 2–3 years’ experience in planning, merchandising or data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• ERP planning system experience advantageous.
• SA citizens only; preference given to BEE candidates.
