Junior Litigation Associate – LLB Graduate

About the role

Alpha is looking for recent LLB graduates to join its litigation team in Umhlanga Ridge. This position offers the chance to manage a litigated caseload, support senior litigation executives, and develop practical civil litigation skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft legal documents, applications, offers, orders and directions.
• Attend telephone conferences and negotiate settlements.
• Manage cases in line with service level agreements, including reviewing quantum and valuing damages.
• Liaise with third‑party solicitors, insurers, and clients to progress matters.
• Maintain clear case plans and ensure timely updates.

Required profile

• LLB degree (required).
• Minimum 6 months of legal experience, preferably in civil litigation.
• Experience with motor vehicle accidents, RAF claims, third‑party claims, contract law or insurance work is advantageous.
• Enthusiastic, self‑motivated and able to meet targets in a high‑pressure setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
