Junior Legal Counsel – 3‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Legal Counsel for a three‑month fixed‑term assignment. This position offers a recent law graduate or newly admitted attorney the chance to gain practical in‑house corporate experience while supporting a busy legal team.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate routine commercial contracts such as NDAs, supply, manufacturing and logistics agreements.
• Assist senior lawyers with commercial litigation and dispute resolution, including basic pleadings, opinions and correspondence.
• Provide administrative and legal support for the intellectual property portfolio, including trademark reviews and enforcement actions.
• Support regulatory and advertising dispute matters by preparing submissions for relevant boards.
• Help mitigate legal risk by reviewing external communications for sensitivity.
• Offer ad‑hoc legal assistance across the business and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on daily queries.

Required profile

• LLB degree and admission as an attorney.
• Less than three years post‑qualification experience, ideally as an associate or junior counsel.
• Exposure to commercial litigation, corporate law or contract drafting during articles or post‑admission practice.
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent legal drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment while contributing effectively to a team.
