Junior Lead Generator

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Lead Generator to join the Marketing and Sales team of a motor dealer group in Cape Town. This entry‑level position offers a pathway into the automotive industry for candidates with a passion for events and customer interaction. The role involves supporting the sales pipeline by identifying prospective customers and creating initial interest in the dealership's vehicle range. You will work closely with senior sales staff to ensure a steady flow of qualified prospects.

Key responsibilities

• Attend vehicle displays, shopping‑centre exhibitions, golf days and other promotional events.
• Engage with visitors, answer questions and discuss vehicle benefits.
• Capture contact information and generate qualified leads for the sales team.
• Pass on leads promptly and maintain basic records of interactions, including a simple lead tracking spreadsheet.
• Provide feedback on event effectiveness to improve future marketing activities.

Required profile

• Completed Grade 12.
• Strong verbal communication and people skills.
• Enthusiasm for events, marketing and the motor industry.
• Basic knowledge of vehicles and a genuine interest in automotive sales.
• Ability to work flexible hours during events.
• Basic computer literacy.
