Junior IT Technician – Entry Level Support

About the role

Join SKG Properties as a Junior IT Technician and provide day‑to‑day technical support across multiple sites. Working under direct supervision, you will develop hands‑on experience with hardware, software and networking while supporting the company’s business systems.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver desktop and remote support for end‑users.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot printers.
• Set up new users, configure hardware and install software.
• Provide basic troubleshooting for business applications.
• Log and appropriately escalate support tickets.
• Perform hardware cleaning, basic repairs and upgrades on laptops and desktops.
• Assemble PCs under supervision and conduct monitor/screen cleaning.
• Assist with structured cabling, patch‑panel and switch‑port patching, cable testing and labeling.
• Undertake driver duties, site logistics and occasional travel to other SKG branches.
• Work overtime as required.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• CompTIA A+ certification.
• CompTIA N+ certification.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• At least 1 year of IT support experience or an equivalent internship/learnership.
