Junior IT Technician – Entry Level IT Support

About the role

Join SKG Properties as a Junior IT Technician and provide day‑to‑day technical support across our commercial and industrial sites. Working under direct supervision, you will develop hands‑on experience with hardware, software and networking while supporting end users in a dynamic property‑management environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver desktop and remote support for end users.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot printers.
• Set up hardware, install software and configure user accounts.
• Provide basic business‑systems support and log/escalate tickets.
• Repair, clean and upgrade laptops and desktops; assemble PCs under supervision.
• Perform monitor and screen cleaning and basic fault identification.
• Assist with structured cabling, patch‑panel and switch‑port patching, cable testing and labeling.
• Undertake general driver duties, site logistics and occasional travel to other SKG branches.
• Work overtime as required.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• CompTIA A+ certification.
• CompTIA N+ certification.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• At least 1 year of IT support experience or an equivalent internship/learnership.
