Junior IT Help Desk Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior IT Help Desk Technician to join our growing support team. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, networking and remote support tools.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support to users via phone, email, remote access and on‑site assistance.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems.
• Support Microsoft Office 365 applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and printer issues.
• Assist users with VPN connectivity and remote access.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting, including Wi‑Fi and internet connectivity problems.
• Create and manage user accounts and passwords.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technicians when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• Certificate, diploma or relevant qualification in IT, computer systems or networking.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts and remote support tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
