Junior Graphic Designer (Contract)

About the role

Our client in Pretoria is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer on a contract basis to support the marketing and creative teams. The role involves producing a variety of visual assets for both print and digital channels over a 12‑24 month period.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating marketing and promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, banners, presentations and advertisements.
• Design digital assets for social media, websites, email campaigns and online advertising.
• Create and edit graphics, illustrations, infographics and other visual content.
• Resize, adapt and update existing artwork for different platforms and campaigns.
• Ensure all design work follows company brand guidelines and visual standards.
• Maintain consistency across all marketing and communication materials.
• Support the management and updating of brand asset libraries.
• Prepare artwork files for digital distribution and print production, conducting quality checks.
• Source stock images, fonts and other creative resources as needed.

Required profile

• Junior‑level graphic designer with a portfolio that demonstrates ability to produce marketing collateral.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills to incorporate stakeholder feedback.

Required skills

• Proficiency in creating digital assets for social media, websites, email campaigns and online advertising.
• Ability to work with design software to produce and edit graphics, illustrations and infographics.
