Junior Financial Accountant

About the role

Our client, a well‑established firm in Midrand, is looking for a Junior Financial Accountant to support the full finance function in a stock‑driven environment. The role offers hands‑on experience across accounting, reporting and administration, ideal for an early‑career finance professional.

Key responsibilities

• Managing the full finance function
• Processing and reviewing financial transactions
• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Performing bank reconciliations and cash‑flow monitoring
• Conducting inventory/stock reconciliations and reporting
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and VAT calculations
• Ensuring statutory compliance and liaising with auditors and external stakeholders
• General finance and administration duties

Required profile

• B.Com degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 1‑3 years of relevant finance experience
• Experience in a stock/inventory environment
• Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
