Junior Draughtsman (AutoCAD / Syspro / Tekla / Inventor)

About the role

The company is an engineering and manufacturing firm specialising in filtration equipment. They are looking for a Junior Draughtsman to create detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical, structural and process equipment using CAD tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical, structural and process equipment using AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla and other CAD software.
• Coordinate with engineers and other team members to resolve design issues and produce accurate fabrication and shop drawings.
• Review and analyse specifications, sketches and related data to assess feasibility.
• Produce bills of materials, item lists and general arrangement plant layouts for tender purposes.
• Modify and optimise existing designs to correct operating deficiencies.
• Perform quality inspections on fabricated goods and conduct site visits to verify compliance with drawings.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of relevant draughting experience.
• Formal qualification or background in draughting, mechanical or structural design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla and SYSPRO.
• Basic understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards.
