About the role
Next Match AI LLC is looking for a motivated Junior Developer to join its globally distributed engineering team. Based remotely in South Africa, you will collaborate with senior architects and the Abu Dhabi innovation hub to build and maintain core HR API services and web applications.
Key responsibilities
- Write clean, testable code for responsive user interfaces and backend logic.
- Assist with integration, documentation, and maintenance of core HR APIs.
- Identify, debug, and resolve front‑end layout issues and server‑side script errors.
- Develop and optimise basic SQL/NoSQL queries under senior guidance.
- Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation, API logs, and deployment workflows.
Required profile
- 1+ years of professional software development experience, internship, or a strong portfolio of full‑stack web projects.
- Demonstrated ability to learn complex cloud architectures and work in a remote, distributed environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Required skills
- JavaScript/TypeScript
- React or Vue
- Node.js or Python
- SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
- Git/GitHub version control
What we offer
- Competitive early‑career salary 20 % above South African market average.
- Base salary ZAR 270,000 – ZAR 330,000 per year (or USD 1,250 – 1,500 equivalent).
