Junior Cybersecurity Analyst

About the role

We are expanding our Cybersecurity Talent Pool and are looking for motivated Junior Cybersecurity Analysts to join us in Johannesburg. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to security operations, threat monitoring and incident response while working alongside experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and identify potential threats.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments and security audits.
• Support incident response and investigation activities.
• Review and analyse security logs and reports.
• Help maintain security tools and technologies.
• Contribute to compliance and information‑security initiatives.
• Document findings and recommendations.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging cyber threats and trends.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls).
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, ISC2 CC, Microsoft Security Fundamentals) are a plus.
