Junior Cost Controller

About the role

SENET, a leading EPCM company in the mining and mineral processing sector, is looking for a motivated Junior Cost Controller to join its Costing team. The role supports project financial delivery by partnering with Project Managers to set up budgets, monitor costs, and produce accurate forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Set up project costing in the Project Implementation Plan (PIP) and configure budgets in Microsoft Dynamics.
• Review contract terms, manage project budgets, change requests, and variations.
• Perform variance analysis, adjust forecasts (ETC/EAC), and prepare profitability reports.
• Process project billing, timecards, purchase orders, and ensure correct cost allocation.
• Prepare month‑end reports, cash‑flow tracking, and reconciliations.
• Monitor financial risk, compliance, multi‑currency reporting, and FOREX variances.
• Calculate earned value, VAT, and ensure adherence to commercial terms.
• Support project close‑out and document lessons learned.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to work closely with project teams and managers.
• Understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with contract terms and commercial compliance.
