Junior Compliance Officer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Compliance Officer to join our team. In this position you will help protect the business by identifying, assessing and reducing compliance, legal, operational and governance risks. You will work closely with business leaders and operational teams to embed practical solutions that improve controls and reduce risk exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance and develop training materials on regulatory requirements for cross‑functional teams.
• Identify, assess and prioritise compliance, legal, operational and governance risks across the organisation.
• Partner with operational leaders to design corrective actions, monitor implementation and measure effectiveness.
• Act as a trusted advisor, integrating compliance and risk management into business decision‑making.
• Draft and review policies, procedures, contracts and marketing materials to ensure legal compliance while supporting commercial goals.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and perform detailed compliance reviews.

Required profile

• Degree in BCom, LLB or a related field (LLB advantageous).
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to assess and prioritise risks.
• Excellent communication skills to advise and train cross‑functional teams.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of handling administrative compliance tasks.
