Junior Client Development Specialist – Sales Intern

About the role

BROKSTOCK is seeking a motivated Junior Client Development Specialist to join its Cape Town sales team on a full‑time, office‑based basis. The position focuses on high‑volume outbound engagement with a warm client base, aiming to build rapport, uncover financial potential and hand over qualified prospects to Business Development Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Make 80–100 outbound calls per day using warm client lists generated from platform activity.
• Establish contact, build trust and ask structured questions to understand client needs and financial potential.
• Identify upsell opportunities and present relevant platform benefits, products and offers.
• Qualify high‑potential clients and transfer them to a Business Development Manager.
• Schedule follow‑up calls or meetings where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, outcomes and next steps in the CRM.
• Follow approved scripts, compliance requirements and sales processes.

Required profile

• Approximately one year of experience in sales, telesales, customer service or a client‑facing role.
• Strong communication and active‑listening skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Comfortable working with daily call and conversion targets and a results‑oriented mindset.
• Professional working proficiency in English; knowledge of Afrikaans, isiXhosa or another South African language is a plus.
• Interest in investments, financial markets or fintech; experience in banking, brokerage or call‑centre sales is advantageous.
• Resilience, discipline and the ability to follow scripts and compliance guidelines.
