Junior Buyer – Computing & Case Goods

About the role

Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking a Junior Buyer to support the Senior Buyer in sourcing and acquiring computing and case‑goods products. You will help ensure the right products are available at the right price, contributing directly to the company’s retail performance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain product data, list new items, delist obsolete ones and manage pricing and stock conditions using SAP and Akeneo.
• Generate and analyse sales and inventory reports to support purchasing decisions.
• Assist in negotiating supplier returns and managing the financial performance of your product portfolio.
• Contribute to monthly turnover and profit budgeting.
• Identify new products and suppliers to improve competitiveness.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis, prepare advertising briefs and monitor price positioning.
• Visit stores to gather feedback and support a customer‑centric culture.

Required profile

• Matric qualification; a diploma or degree in Buying, Procurement or Business is a strong advantage.
• 2–3 years of buying or procurement experience in case goods (bedroom, entertainment, dining & kitchen), including foreign sourcing/import experience.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and a professional, deadline‑driven attitude.
