Junior Audit Manager – Hillcrest, Durban

About the role

Our client, a well‑established audit and advisory firm in Hillcrest, Durban, is looking for a qualified Junior Audit Manager. This role is designed for a newly qualified CA(SA) with solid external audit and taxation experience who wants to step into a management position.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, review and finalise audit engagements, including high‑risk client meetings.
• Perform quality‑control reviews on audit files and attend final Annual Financial Statement meetings.
• Conduct technical research and provide guidance on complex audit matters, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Review and complete various tax returns, manage SARS audits, verification requests, objections and tax queries, and prepare provisional tax calculations.
• Supervise and mentor Audit Supervisors, drive a high‑performance culture, and approve timesheets weekly.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, liaising on technical, audit and taxation matters.
