Junior Attorney

About the role

Our client is looking for a motivated Junior Attorney to join their legal team in Pretoria. This position offers a newly admitted attorney the chance to gain hands‑on courtroom experience and develop a solid foundation in litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Attend court and represent clients in the Magistrates' Court and other applicable courts.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, notices, and correspondence.
• Manage litigation files from inception through finalisation.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions.
• Liaise professionally with clients, advocates, correspondents, and court officials.
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards.
• Assist with general legal and administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• LLB degree.
• Admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with the right of appearance in relevant courts.
• Sound knowledge of litigation procedures.
• Newly admitted attorneys are encouraged to apply; prior litigation or court experience is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence is a plus.

What we offer

• Competitive total cost to company (CTC) ranging from R 8 000 to R 15 000, dependent on experience.
