About the role
Asla Construction is seeking a Junior Accountant to join its finance department in Cape Town. The role involves supporting the accounting function across multiple entities within the group.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the accounting system and ensure processes comply with general accounting principles.
- Maintain financial records for approximately five entities within the group.
- Prepare and submit SARS compliance reports and other statutory filings.
Required profile
- Degree with an accounting specialization.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Completed articles accredited by SAICA or SAIPA.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with suppliers and clients.
Required skills
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with SAGE 300 ERP or a similar accounting package.
