Junior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Midrand. This role offers exposure to the full accounting function within a technology‑driven business, allowing you to develop your skills in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and reconcile daily financial transactions, including bank accounts, debtors and creditors.
• Assist with month‑end journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and management reporting.
• Prepare VAT reconciliations and support statutory submissions.
• Maintain accurate financial records, support internal controls and aid audit preparation.
• Assist with fixed‑asset administration, cashbook processing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• BCom degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–3 years of experience in a junior accounting or similar role.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using an ERP or accounting system.
