Java Software Engineer

About the role

As a Java Software Engineer you will tackle challenging software engineering problems for large German and South African clients. You will design, develop and deliver robust, AI‑native solutions using modern Java‑based technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build backend services, REST APIs and integration layers following object‑oriented principles and design patterns.
• Develop, test and maintain high‑quality code using Java, Spring, Kotlin, Maven, Gradle and JUnit.
• Apply AI‑agent‑based development methods throughout the software lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using agile practices such as Scrum or Design Thinking.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science or a comparable discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with the listed technologies.
• Proactive, pragmatic and strong team‑oriented communication skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and quality.
