About the role

We are seeking a talented Java Software Developer to join our dynamic technology team in the Western Cape. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining complex software solutions that meet business needs, while collaborating closely with peers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Write clear, well‑structured Java code following coding guidelines and conventions.
• Develop and maintain RESTful web services and micro‑service based applications.
• Participate in code reviews, providing actionable technical feedback and ensuring alignment with engineering principles.
• Proactively test work, conduct unit and integration testing, and own defect resolution.
• Consider non‑functional requirements such as accessibility, performance, and security in all deliverables.
• Assist with deployments, CI/CD pipeline setup, and support production environments.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to lead projects.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to work calmly and methodically under pressure.
