IT Systems Administrator

About the role

Our client, a group of three diverse businesses, is seeking a proactive IT Systems Administrator to join their Cape Town office on a full‑time basis. The role involves delivering first‑ and second‑line support across the group and maintaining a range of IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first and second‑line IT support to users across multiple businesses.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops and other IT hardware.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive.
• Configure and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, Wi‑Fi and internet connectivity.
• Install, configure and support CCTV and IP camera systems.
• Manage email accounts, DNS records and domain administration.
• Maintain backup solutions and oversee disaster recovery processes.
• Ensure endpoint security, antivirus protection and adherence to cybersecurity best practices.
• Support Microsoft Teams, Zoom, boardroom AV equipment and remote users.
• Assist with IT projects and continuous system improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma, degree or equivalent IT qualification.
• Minimum three years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English, both spoken and written.
• Proactive, hands‑on problem solver able to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
