IT Project Manager – Hybrid (Cape Town)

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious IT Project Manager ready to lead enterprise technology transformation in the EdTech and digital services sector. Based in Cape Town on a hybrid schedule, the role offers a salary of R860K – R900K.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle – initiation, planning, delivery, governance and closure.
• Lead enterprise IT projects with budgets exceeding R2 million across infrastructure and systems.
• Build and manage high‑performing cross‑functional teams and vendors.
• Drive governance, risk management, change control and stakeholder engagement.
• Deliver projects that enable institutional strategy and measurable business value.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ IT Project Management experience in large or complex environments.
• Proven delivery of enterprise ICT projects (hardware and systems) with R2 million+ budgets.
• Aspiration to lead teams and manage third‑party partners.
• Excellent stakeholder, governance and communication skills.
• Degree in IT/Business (or equivalent) plus Project Management certification (PMP/Prince2/Agile preferred).
• Good knowledge of PMBOK, Agile (SAFe) and SDLC.
