IT Manager

About the role

Marley Roofing is seeking an experienced, all‑round IT generalist who enjoys helping end users and managing the company’s IT infrastructure across South Africa and Namibia. You will be the sole IT professional for the organisation, responsible for both day‑to‑day support and strategic IT management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide desktop, end‑user, and second‑level network support, including password resets, printer issues, and new user setups.
• Maintain and backup IT systems, manage software licences, and oversee service level agreements with third‑party providers.
• Analyse investment opportunities, develop business cases, and lead IT projects to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, support system upgrades, and manage anti‑virus software.

Required profile

• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence and reliable vehicle; willingness to travel across provinces, Namibia and other countries.
• Post‑matric qualification in IT (preferred) with solid experience in network and system administration.
• Ability to train users on new software and maintain documentation.

Required skills

• Network technologies: MPLS, VLAN configuration, DMZ, VRF, routing protocols, Cisco CLI (3750, 1900, 881), Fortinet firewalls.
• Local area networking: TCP/IP, routers, switches, trunk/access ports, print servers.
• Voice solutions: VOIP, SIP, PABX, Fortivoice.
• Desktop and server expertise: A+, N+, Windows, Office 365, SAP, ERP, SAGE, VIP, MS‑Office.
