IT and System Support Manager

About the role

The client is a South African digital solutions company that delivers innovative technology‑driven services such as digital marketing, eCommerce, automation platforms and custom business solutions. They are looking for an experienced IT and System Support Manager to lead the organisation’s IT infrastructure, ensure reliable daily support and embed robust security and compliance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the organisation’s IT infrastructure, systems, devices, applications and user environment.
• Provide and oversee day‑to‑day IT support, implementing structured logging, prioritisation, escalation and resolution processes.
• Develop, implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, SOPs and translate ISO/IEC 27001 requirements into operational controls.
• Maintain asset, software, access, incident, change and other registers; manage user onboarding, role changes and off‑boarding.
• Oversee patching, updates, vulnerability remediation, backup monitoring and disaster‑recovery testing.
• Monitor security systems, investigate incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and support internal and external ISO audits.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process optimisation and new technology adoption.
• Produce regular IT management reports covering risks, incidents, system health and improvement actions.

Required profile

• Diploma, degree or recognised qualification in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 + years of relevant IT experience with responsibility for business‑critical environments.
• Experience with ISO/IEC 27001 implementation, maintenance or audit is a strong advantage.
• Proven ability to build processes, manage change and balance security with business needs.

• Microsoft 365 administration and security credentials.
• CompTIA Security+, Network+ and A+ certifications.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Microsoft Azure certifications.
• ISO/IEC 27001 knowledge and related cybersecurity certifications.
