IP Paralegal – Remote (Trademarks)

About the role

An international intellectual property law firm is looking for an experienced IP Paralegal specializing in trademarks. The role is fully remote and supports global attorneys and clients on trademark prosecution, filings, and portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and instruct foreign trademark applications, ensuring compliance with international IP laws.
• Prepare cost estimates, invoicing, and financial reports with full transparency.
• Draft and file trademark applications, schedules, and supporting documents per client and jurisdictional requirements.
• Act as primary client liaison, handling instructions and correspondence with attorneys and foreign counsel.
• Maintain and monitor trademark and patent databases, tracking deadlines and application statuses.
• Review and process incoming correspondence, ensuring timely updates and accurate docketing.
• Conduct preliminary trademark searches and assist with quality assurance on new filings.
• Prepare and coordinate affidavits, declarations, assignments, powers of attorney, notarizations, and legalizations.

Required profile

• LLB or Paralegal Diploma (essential).
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in trademark law and intellectual property practice.
• Proven background in invoicing, financial processes, and cost tracking.
• Strong knowledge of trademark procedures, filings, and renewals.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
