Invoicing Clerk – QuickBooks Essential

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Invoicing Clerk to join our finance team in Johannesburg. The role requires strong proficiency in QuickBooks and excellent communication skills in English.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and promptly.
• Process credit notes, debit notes, and adjustments as needed.
• Capture invoices and customer data into QuickBooks.
• Match invoices with purchase orders, quotations, or delivery notes.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and follow up on missing documentation.
• Reconcile invoices against payments and assist with debtor reconciliations.
• Respond to customer queries regarding invoices, pricing, and balances.
• Prepare and send statements, supporting collections when required.
• Maintain electronic and physical filing systems for invoicing documents.
• Prepare invoicing reports for management and ensure VAT compliance.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Support month‑end and year‑end financial processes and perform general administrative duties.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of invoicing or accounts‑receivable experience.
• Proven experience using QuickBooks (essential).
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Good understanding of VAT and invoicing processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Professional, reliable and able to maintain confidentiality.

What we offer

• Salary range R17 000 – R18 000 per month, negotiable.
