Invoice Clerk – Chain Stores (EDI Experience Essential)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Invoice Clerk to join the accounts team of a well‑established food manufacturing company. The role focuses on processing invoices for major chain stores and requires strong expertise with EDI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Process and capture invoices for major chain stores.
• Manage invoice flow through EDI platforms.
• Apply accurate pricing, promotions, and discounts.
• Reconcile invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Handle claims, queries, and short payments from chain stores.
• Liaise with sales, warehouse, and dispatch departments.
• Maintain accurate filing and record‑keeping.
• Assist with month‑end procedures and reconciliations.

Required profile

• Proven invoicing experience for chain stores or retail groups.
• Hands‑on experience with EDI platforms.
• Background in FMCG or food manufacturing (advantageous).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of retail invoicing procedures and compliance.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong administrative and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
