Investment Manager

About the role

Our client is a leading financier for small and medium‑size enterprises, dedicated to supporting and mentoring entrepreneurs. They are seeking an Investment Manager who can combine accounting knowledge with strong people skills to drive investment projects and build market networks.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the firm at expos and workshop events to market services and expand networks.
• Conduct viability studies and develop financial models for prospective investments.
• Prepare comprehensive investment reports for internal and client review.
• Negotiate and structure investment deals with target entities.
• Manage a small team of investment officers.

Required profile

• BCom degree with Accounts 11 (or equivalent) – non‑negotiable.
• Minimum five years of experience in business investment, deal structuring, or financial modelling within the SME sector.
• Proven ability to work independently, meet targets and budgets, and enjoy client‑facing interactions (approximately 50% of the role).
• Must reside in Cape Town; relocation is not considered.
