Investment & Commercial Manager – Assets Business

About the role

The Investment & Commercial Manager will partner directly with the Executive Director of the Assets Business to identify, structure and execute high‑impact acquisitions, investments and strategic commercial opportunities across mining, agriculture and logistics assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end commercial execution of acquisitions, investments and strategic partnerships.
• Draft, review, negotiate and finalise shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, service level agreements and strategic partnership documents.
• Conduct commercial due diligence, transaction analysis and investment evaluation.
• Coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive transactions from opportunity through to closing.
• Identify contractual risks and opportunities, propose mitigation strategies, and maintain a register of material commercial exposures.
• Work with the Group Secretary to ensure governance, board processes and statutory compliance.
• Manage relationships with external legal and specialist advisors.
• Serve as the Executive Director’s trusted commercial sounding board on strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification strongly preferred.
• 8–12 years of experience in commercial law, M&A, investments or complex commercial transactions.
• Proven track record of leading commercial negotiations and transaction execution.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to assess risk and opportunity.
