International Assistance Coordinator – German & English

About the role

Join a global medical assistance and travel‑insurance organisation as an International Assistance Coordinator based in Cape Town. You will support travellers facing medical or travel emergencies, acting as the primary liaison between policyholders, healthcare providers and international teams.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails with policyholders, medical professionals and global partners.
• Coordinate local and international logistics for emergency medical assistance, including hospital admissions, ambulance dispatch and travel arrangements.
• Liaise with hospitals, doctors, ambulance services and travel partners to secure required support.
• Work closely with internal medical teams and overseas colleagues to ensure appropriate care and solutions.
• Assess each case, provide timely resolutions and maintain accurate documentation in line with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Fluency in German (C1/native) and English (C1/native).
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced, high‑responsibility environment.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Minimum Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Valid South African work authorisation; FSB registration is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
