International Agricultural Sales Representative – Africa

About the role

We are looking for an experienced International Agricultural Sales Representative to drive growth across SADC countries for a leading laboratory services provider. The role involves promoting microbiological, chemical, pesticide residue and agronomy analyses to clients in agriculture, food, chemical and environmental sectors throughout Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new business opportunities across SADC through networking, cold calling, email campaigns and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to quotation, closing and account management.
• Achieve annual sales targets and expand the customer base.
• Maintain segmented client databases and stay updated on market trends and competitor activity.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, onboarding new clients and providing ongoing support, including handling queries and complaints.
• Recommend appropriate laboratory analyses based on client needs and coordinate delivery with internal teams.
• Prepare regular sales reports and ensure accurate record‑keeping of all activities.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience in agriculture, agro‑chemical, food manufacturing, environmental or scientific services.
• Strong commercial drive with a technical background related to laboratory testing.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple African markets.

Required skills

• Knowledge of chemical and microbiological testing services.
