Internal Salesperson (Electrical/Industrial)

About the role

Our established electrical client in Durban is seeking an Internal Salesperson to drive sales of electrical and industrial solutions. Working closely with the external sales colleague, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets and managing the needs of industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve assigned sales targets by identifying and maximising sales opportunities.
• Manage and nurture relationships with industrial customers, ensuring their requirements are met efficiently.
• Prepare quotations, process orders and maintain accurate sales records.
• Collaborate with the external sales person to coordinate efforts and share market insights.
• Stay up‑to‑date with product knowledge, especially brands such as Schneider, Eaton and Siemens.

Required profile

• Matriculation minimum.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical or lighting sales.
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or progress towards one is preferred.
• Familiarity with major electrical brands (Schneider, Eaton, Siemens).
• Strong electrical knowledge and excellent customer‑service track record.
• Effective listening, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and act independently.
• Team‑oriented mindset with high levels of honesty and integrity.
