Internal Sales Representative – Corrugated Packaging

About the role

The Internal Sales Representative for Corrugated Accounts provides essential operational support to the sales team, handling order entry, customer communication, inventory control, and delivery coordination. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role ensures a smooth flow from quoting to final delivery for key corrugated packaging customers.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and process corrugated packaging orders accurately, verifying technical specifications and pricing before releasing to production.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer master files, item codes, and contract pricing.
• Act as the primary internal contact for assigned accounts, responding to inquiries about order status, lead times, samples, and technical details.
• Coordinate with logistics and dispatch to monitor delivery schedules, provide real‑time shipment updates, and manage delay notifications.
• Track open orders, identify potential bottlenecks, and ensure jobs progress according to promised dates.
• Monitor finished‑goods stock levels, participate in inventory audits, and reconcile physical stock with system records.
• Gather demand forecasts from sales reps and customers, aligning them with production planning.
• Manage customer call‑off patterns, triggering replenishment runs as required.

Required profile

• Experience in internal sales, order processing, or customer service within a packaging or manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to verify technical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers, sales reps, and logistics teams.
• Ability to monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock audits.
