Internal Sales Agent (VR 118)

About the role

The Internal Sales Agent will drive new business opportunities for a leading South African food manufacturing and distribution company. Working from the Pretoria office, you will combine product sales with logistics solutions to serve corporate customers nationwide.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within corporate markets for both manufactured snack products and logistics services.
• Prospect, secure and grow corporate clients requiring integrated supply and distribution solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure long‑term partnerships.
• Prepare and present proposals that include product specifications, pricing and tailored logistics solutions.
• Negotiate transport rates, service level agreements and commercial contracts while meeting profitability targets.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales, volume and revenue targets.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, transport and finance teams to ensure feasible, cost‑effective solutions.
• Manage tenders, corporate RFQs and respond to customer queries promptly.
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing and market trends across manufacturing and logistics sectors.
• Identify cross‑selling and cost‑optimisation opportunities such as route planning and load consolidation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales within corporate or industrial markets.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Ability to develop and manage a structured sales pipeline.
• Excellent relationship‑building and customer‑service orientation.
• Capacity to work cross‑functionally with production, logistics and finance teams.
