Internal Sales Administrator

About the role

The Internal Sales Administrator will provide essential administrative and operational support to the sales team, ensuring smooth processing of customer enquiries, quotations, orders, and related documentation. This position plays a key part in delivering excellent customer service and helping the company meet its sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Process incoming customer orders accurately and promptly.
• Verify pricing issues and delivery requirements.
• Prepare and email pro‑forma invoices for cash‑account customers.
• Coordinate logistics to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Generate invoices and supporting documents as needed.
• Monitor daily back‑order reports and prepare weekly/monthly sales reports.
• Resolve customer queries and keep clients informed about order status.
• Prepare accurate quotations and maintain long‑term customer relationships.
• Update customer‑specific pricing and company price lists.
• Distribute promotions, new product information, and price updates via email.
• Provide administrative support to the external sales team and assist walk‑in customers.
• Prepare meeting documentation, record minutes, and liaise with procurement, warehouse, logistics, and finance departments.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years sales administration experience in the food industry.
• Proficient in Sage Evolution ERP.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Resides within 30 minutes of North Riding.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
