Internal Communications Coordinator

About the role

The Internal Communications Coordinator ensures the workforce stays engaged, informed, and connected to the company’s mission and strategic goals. You will craft and distribute internal messages, turning complex business updates into clear, accessible content that promotes transparency and high performance.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and proofread content for intranet, newsletters, email blasts, and digital notice boards.
• Translate business strategy, HR policy updates, and operational changes into human‑focused language.
• Create basic graphics, presentations, and short internal videos to support campaigns.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of internal communication platforms such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, internal social networks, and email distribution tools.
• Maintain the internal communications calendar and monitor engagement metrics (open rates, click‑throughs, intranet traffic).
• Assist with internal campaigns (wellness, reward & recognition, learning & development) and provide logistical support for town halls, leadership AMAs, and year‑end events.
• Gather news, success stories, and updates from various divisions to share across the business.
• Support the People Team with announcements on hires, promotions, and organizational changes, and help facilitate employee feedback loops.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
• Creative mindset and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Slack and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience using intranet and email distribution platforms.
• Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva or similar).
• Presentation software proficiency (PowerPoint, Google Slides).
• Fundamental video editing abilities for short internal clips.
