Internal Auditor – Risk-Based Audit Specialist

About the role

The Internal Auditor will support the Internal Audit function by identifying risks that affect business objectives and evaluating controls to mitigate those risks. This role requires a self‑starter with experience in risk‑based auditing, high integrity, independence, and strong professional ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk‑based internal audits across operational, financial, compliance, and IT areas.
• Lead audit engagements from planning through reporting, preparing audit programs, risk assessments, and working papers.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and perform data analysis and testing procedures.
• Identify control deficiencies, recommend mitigating controls, and suggest process‑improvement opportunities.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports and present findings to management.
• Track audit issues, monitor corrective actions, and ensure compliance with company policies, laws, regulations, and standards.
• Support corporate governance initiatives and maintain alignment with IIA Standards.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide advisory support on risk and control matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Internal Audit or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in internal, financial, operational, or compliance auditing.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) accreditation is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audit software.
• Experience using data analytics tools.
• Knowledge of risk‑based auditing methodology.
