Internal Auditor

About the role

FNB Lesotho is seeking an Internal Auditor to conduct moderate‑complexity audits, evaluate internal controls, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. You will work closely with various business units to identify risks, recommend improvements, and support strong governance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits, incorporating data analytics to improve efficiency.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management practices, and internal controls.
• Identify risk and control gaps, providing practical recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain awareness of emerging industry standards, legislation, and technology changes affecting the audit environment.
• Identify opportunities for innovation in audit processes and develop solutions for implementation.

Required profile

• Degree in Auditing, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of internal audit or banking experience.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CFA, or FRM are an advantage.

Required skills

• Data analytics for audit planning and fieldwork.
• Understanding of internal financial control, risk management, and IT audit concepts.
