Internal Auditor – Assurance & Risk Management

About the role

The Internal Auditor will provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services to improve Rainbow Chicken’s operations. Working closely with line management, you will assess current processes, identify risks, and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual, risk‑based internal audit plan in collaboration with the Internal Audit Manager.
• Engage business units to document processes, identify risks, and assess existing controls.
• Test the design and operational effectiveness of controls, including ERP‑related controls.
• Prepare and manage Control Self‑Assessment programmes across the group.
• Follow‑up on audit recommendations, verify compliance, and report findings to management.
• Compile audit reports with root‑cause analysis, recommendations, and management response tracking.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Understanding of industry‑specific risks, business processes, and enterprise risk management.
• Familiarity with King III, Companies Act, and internal audit methodology.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
